Une enqu\u00eate plus approfondie a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que ce pl\u00e2tre cachait une fracture ouverte du tibia, avec une l\u00e9sion associ\u00e9e du nerf p\u00e9ronier. Le traitement des blessures du c\u00f4t\u00e9 non amput\u00e9 \u00e9tait vital pour que l&rsquo;enfant puisse marcher \u00e0 l&rsquo;aide d&rsquo;une proth\u00e8se.\n<\/p>\n<p>Pour compliquer les choses, l&rsquo;enfant \u00e9tait angoiss\u00e9 par sa blessure et terrifi\u00e9 par le personnel de sant\u00e9. Il \u00e9tait accompagn\u00e9 d&rsquo;un membre de sa famille ( et non de ses parents).
