Il peut s&rsquo;agir de mesures r\u00e9guli\u00e8res (par exemple tous les trimestres) de la taille en position debout et assise, ainsi que de la mesure de la longueur des bras. Ce suivi peut aider \u00e0 identifier le pic de vitesse de croissance (c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire le moment o\u00f9 l&rsquo;enfant grandit le plus vite). Anatomie d&rsquo;un os long.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Les blessures observ\u00e9es chez les enfants sont souvent diff\u00e9rentes de celles observ\u00e9es chez les adultes pour un certain nombre de raisons, notamment : <sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-6\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Site d&rsquo;attache faible (provoquant des fractures par avulsion) : <sup id=\"cite_ref-:2_6-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:2-6\">(6)<\/a><\/sup>\n<ul>\n<li>La cartilage de la plaque de croissance chez les enfants est moins capable de r\u00e9sister aux contraintes que le cartilage articulaire chez les adultes. Il est \u00e9galement moins r\u00e9sistant aux forces de cisaillement et de tension que l&rsquo;os environnant. Cela peut conduire \u00e0 une rupture de la physe (voir figures 1 et 2) lorsqu&rsquo;une contrainte accrue est appliqu\u00e9e. Ainsi, alors que des adultes subissent une d\u00e9chirure compl\u00e8te d&rsquo;un ligament ou une dislocation articulaire, les enfants peuvent subir une s\u00e9paration de la plaque de croissance. Les enfants semblent \u00eatre plus sujets aux blessures de la plaque de croissance pendant les p\u00e9riodes de croissance rapide (voir tableau 1).<sup id=\"cite_ref-:2_6-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:2-6\">(6)<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>D\u00e9calage entre la croissance osseuse et la croissance musculaire, qui entra\u00eene des mouvements non coordonn\u00e9s, et donc des fractures.<\/li>\n<li>Physique plus faible, pouvant conduire \u00e0 une fracture (voir ci-dessus)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><span id=\"Types_of_Injuries\" class=\"mw-headline\">Types de blessures <\/span><span class=\"mw-editsection\"><span class=\"mw-editsection-bracket\">(<\/span> <a class=\"mw-editsection-visualeditor\" title=\"Edit section: Types of Injuries\" href=\"\/index.php?title=Developing_Physically_Active_and_Sporty_Kids_-_Injuries_Specific_to_Children_and_Teenagers&amp;veaction=edit&amp;section=5\">\u00e9diter<\/a> <span class=\"mw-editsection-divider\"> | <\/span> <a title=\"Edit section: Types of Injuries\" href=\"\/index.php?title=Developing_Physically_Active_and_Sporty_Kids_-_Injuries_Specific_to_Children_and_Teenagers&amp;action=edit&amp;section=5\">source d&rsquo;\u00e9dition<\/a> <span class=\"mw-editsection-bracket\">)<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Apophysite : <sup id=\"cite_ref-:1_7-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:1-7\">(7)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Caus\u00e9e par des l\u00e9sions en traction du cartilage et de l&rsquo;attache osseuse des tendons.<\/li>\n<li>Souvent li\u00e9e \u00e0 une surutilisation chez les enfants en croissance.<\/li>\n<li>Plus fr\u00e9quente au membre inf\u00e9rieur<\/li>\n<li>On peut citer le syndrome de Sinding Larsen Johansson, la maladie d&rsquo;Osgood-Schlatter et la maladie de Sever.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ost\u00e9ochondrose : <sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-7\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4) <\/a><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-:1_7-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:1-7\">(7)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Moins fr\u00e9quentes, les ost\u00e9ochondroses sont un groupe d&rsquo;affections qui touchent l&rsquo;\u00e9piphyse (voir figures 1 et 2). <sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-8\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4)<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Elles surviennent en cas de changements d\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs dans les centres d&rsquo;ossification \u00e9piphysaires des os en croissance.<\/li>\n<li>Sont caus\u00e9es par une perturbation temporaire de l&rsquo;apport sanguin au niveau du complexe os-cartilage, plut\u00f4t que par une traction.<\/li>\n<li>Elles ont tendance \u00e0 se r\u00e9sorber spontan\u00e9ment, mais doivent \u00eatre surveill\u00e9es (la chirurgie est rarement n\u00e9cessaire).<\/li>\n<li>Par exemple, la maladie de Kohler et la maladie de Legg-Calve-Perthes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fractures m\u00e9taphysaires : <sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-9\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fractures qui affectent la m\u00e9taphyse des os tubulaires <sup id=\"cite_ref-8\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-8\">(8)<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<li>Se produisent le plus souvent dans l&rsquo;avant-bras et la jambe inf\u00e9rieure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fractures par avulsion :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Se produisent lorsqu&rsquo;il y a une rupture de l&rsquo;os &#8211; un fragment d&rsquo;os est : \u00ab\u00a0arrach\u00e9 de son corps principal par les tissus mous qui y sont attach\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb. <sup id=\"cite_ref-9\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-9\">(9)<\/a><\/sup><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Pendant les p\u00e9riodes de croissance rapide chez l&rsquo;enfant, l&rsquo;os s&rsquo;allonge avant que les muscles et les tendons aient le temps de s&rsquo;\u00e9tirer et de d\u00e9velopper la force et la coordination n\u00e9cessaires pour contr\u00f4ler ce nouvel os plus long. Cela peut entra\u00eener une certaine maladresse dans les mouvements de l&rsquo;enfant.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-10\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Les blessures traumatiques entra\u00eenent des fractures de l&rsquo;os ou de la plaque de croissance, par exemple :\n<ul>\n<li>La fracture en bois vert &#8211; c&rsquo;est-\u00e0-dire une fracture d&rsquo;\u00e9paisseur partielle &#8211; le cortex et le p\u00e9rioste sont rompus sur un seul c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;os.
