Zwischen den beiden B\u00fcndeln befindet sich eine Gewebeh\u00fclle, und die beiden B\u00fcndel haben unterschiedliche Ansatzstellen.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_16-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-16\">(16)<\/a><\/sup> Benannt sind diese beiden B\u00fcndel nach ihrem tibialen Ansatz. Andere Autoren unterteilen das VKB in drei funktionelle B\u00fcndel (AMB, intermedi\u00e4res B\u00fcndel und PLB).<sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_16-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-16\">(16)<\/a><\/sup> Allerdings gibt es auch Studien, die das Vorhandensein des intermedi\u00e4ren B\u00fcndels beim Menschen nicht best\u00e4tigen konnten.<sup id=\"cite_ref-17\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-17\">(17)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Das VKB zieht nach anterior, medial und distal durch das Gelenk, w\u00e4hrend es vom Femur zur Tibia verl\u00e4uft. Aufgrund der Ausrichtung seiner kn\u00f6chernen Ans\u00e4tze dreht es sich in einer leicht nach au\u00dfen gerichteten (seitlichen) Spirale um sich selbst. Urspr\u00fcnglich befassten sich biomechanische Studien zum VKB haupts\u00e4chlich mit dessen Funktion als Begrenzung der anterioren Translation der Tibia. Aus diesen Studien geht klar hervor, dass die auf den VKB wirkenden Kr\u00e4fte in verschiedenen Bereichen der Flexion des Knies variieren. Die h\u00f6chsten In-situ-Kr\u00e4fte treten zwischen 0 und 30 Grad Flexion auf, wobei die maximale Kraft bei 15 Grad Flexion erreicht wird. Die In-situ-Kr\u00e4fte sind zwischen 60 und 90 Grad am geringsten, wobei die minimale Kraft bei 90 Grad Flexion auftritt.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:4_21-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:4-21\">(21)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p><i>Das VKB &#8222;bietet 70 bis 87 % des gesamten Widerstands gegen eine anteriore tibiale Scherkraft, die bei kleinen Flexionswinkeln (0 &#8211; 30 Grad) auf das Knie einwirkt, und etwas weniger (62 &#8211; 85 %) bei gr\u00f6\u00dferen Flexionswinkeln (60 -90 Grad).&#8220;<sup id=\"cite_ref-:2_7-4\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:2-7\">(7)<\/a><\/sup><\/i><\/p>\n<p>Beide B\u00fcndel haben auch eine individuelle Rolle als Teil des VKB bei der Begrenzung der anterioren Translation der Tibia. Kadaveruntersuchungen zeigten, dass bei Einwirkung einer Valgus-Kraft und eines internen Tibiadrehmoments auf das VKB die In-situ-Kr\u00e4fte im AMB bei 15 Grad Flexion 30 N und bei 30 Grad Flexion 35 N betrugen.<sup id=\"cite_ref-23\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-23\">(23)<\/a><\/sup> Das PLB zeigte gr\u00f6\u00dfere Schwankungen bei Ver\u00e4nderungen bei Flexion des Knies, mit In-situ-Kr\u00e4ften von 21 N bei 15 Grad und 14 N bei 30 Grad. Beide B\u00fcndel tragen zur Rotationsstabilit\u00e4t des Knies bei, jedoch in unterschiedlichem Ma\u00dfe.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:3_22-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:3-22\">(22)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Untersuchungen, bei denen das VKB dynamisch mit Hilfe der MRT untersucht wurde, haben gezeigt, dass bei einem normalen VKB bei belasteten Aktivit\u00e4ten mehrere Ver\u00e4nderungen auftreten.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:5_24-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:5-24\">(24)<\/a><\/sup> Mit zunehmendem Flexionswinkel des Knies w\u00e4hrend der Belastung nimmt auch die axiale Rotation (Verdrehung) der VKB-B\u00fcndel zu. Das VKB wird bei vollst\u00e4ndiger Extension des Knies um 10 Grad nach innen verdreht, bei einer Flexion des Knies um 90 Grad um 40 Grad. Die laterale Angulation des Bandes nimmt ebenfalls mit zunehmender Flexion des Knies zu, was darauf hindeutet, dass das Band m\u00f6glicherweise eine laterale Kraftkomponente aufweist, die dazu beitr\u00e4gt, die Innenrotation der Tibia zu begrenzen.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:5_24-1\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:5-24\">(24)<\/a><\/sup><sup id=\"cite_ref-:3_22-2\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:3-22\">(22)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<p>Kinematische Studien zur Rolle des VKB bei funktionellen Aktivit\u00e4ten wie Gehen, Laufen und Schneiden zeigten Folgendes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>ein Knie mit insuffizientem VKB ist w\u00e4hrend der verschiedenen Phasen des Gehens anders positioniert als ein Knie mit intaktem VKB.
