Dazu k\u00f6nnen regelm\u00e4\u00dfige (z. B. viertelj\u00e4hrliche) Messungen der K\u00f6rpergr\u00f6\u00dfe im Stehen und Sitzen sowie die Messung der Armspannweite geh\u00f6ren. Diese \u00dcberwachung kann helfen, die h\u00f6chste Wachstumsgeschwindigkeit zu ermitteln (d. h. die Zeit, in der das Kind am schnellsten w\u00e4chst). Anatomie eines R\u00f6hrenknochens.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Die bei Kindern beobachteten Verletzungen unterscheiden sich h\u00e4ufig von denen bei Erwachsenen, und zwar aus mehreren Gr\u00fcnden:<sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-6\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Schwache Ansatzstelle (verursacht Abrissfrakturen):<sup id=\"cite_ref-:2_6-0\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:2-6\">(6)<\/a><\/sup>\n<ul>\n<li>Der Knorpel der Wachstumsplatten von Kindern ist im Vergleich zum Gelenkknorpel von Erwachsenen weniger belastbar. Er ist auch weniger widerstandsf\u00e4hig gegen\u00fcber Scher- und Zugkr\u00e4ften als der umgebende Knochen. Dies kann zu einem Versagen der Epiphysenfuge f\u00fchren (siehe Abbildungen 1 und 2), wenn eine erh\u00f6hte Belastung eintritt. W\u00e4hrend Erwachsene also einen kompletten B\u00e4nderriss oder eine Gelenkluxation erleiden, kann es bei Kindern zu einer Abl\u00f6sung der Wachstumsplatte kommen. Dies kann zu Unbeholfenheit in den Bewegungsabl\u00e4ufen eines Kindes f\u00fchren.<sup id=\"cite_ref-:0_4-10\" class=\"reference\"><a href=\"#cite_note-:0-4\">(4)<\/a><\/sup><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traumatische Verletzungen f\u00fchren zu Frakturen des Knochens oder der Wachstumsplatte, wie z. B.:\n<ul>\n<li>Gr\u00fcnholzfraktur &#8211; d. h. unvollst\u00e4ndiger Bruch &#8211; Kortikalis und Periost sind nur auf einer Seite des Knochens unterbrochen.
